Since 1973 Zoltán Sebestyén has contributed seventeen definitive research papers to
Acta Scientiarum Mathematicarum
on functional analysis.
Three of them are strongly related to topics studied by B. Sz.-Nagy,
containing relevant results on operator moment problems.
Others enrich the theory of operator extensions with significant theorems.
The Medal was presented to Zoltán Sebestyén
at 14:00, December 4, 2014
in the Bolyai Institute.
On this occasion he delivered a lecture
``Unbounded operators on Hilbert space".
