Over four decades, Ferenc Móricz has published 42 definitive research papers in the
Acta Scientiarum Mathematicarum.
In these papers he solved several hard problems in the fields of Fourier analysis and approximation theory of functions in several variables, convergence and divergence of multiple sequences, and strong limit theorems in both classical and noncommutative probability. His results have been quoted in more than 800 papers worldwide.
The Medal was presented to Ferenc Móricz at 14:00, December 2, 2004
in the Bolyai Institute.
On this occasion he delivered a lecture ``Orthogonality in the classical and noncommutative analizis".
