Since 1962, Béla Csákány published fourteen definitive research papers in
Acta Scientiarum Mathematicarum.
These papers initiated important directions in universal algebra,
including module-like varieties, finite algebras with large automorphism groups,
and minimal clones. His results laid the foundations of a new research group in Szeged.
The Medal was presented to Béla Csákány at 15:00, December 7, 2007
in the Bolyai Institute.
On this occasion he delivered a lecture ``Varietas delectat".
